This photo was taken during the Korean War on the road between Koto-ri and Hagaru-ri by a U.S. Marine Corps photographer 27 November 1950 as a column of troops and armor of the 1st Marine Division withdraw from the Chosin Reservoir area in North Korea. The U.S.M.C. staged their fighting withdrawal in the face of overwhelming odds from Chinese Army forces injected into the Korean War a few days earlier. Despite the six to one mismatch in numbers, and brutal sub-zero weather conditions, the Marines decimated the Chinese and emerged as intact units that went on to fight again.

The tank appears to be an M-26 Pershing.
