Military Book Dealers, Publishers and Related Resources
For out-of-print books, often a request you make to Amazon.com can draw from a large pool of affiliates who do stock out-of-print books, but if you are willing to put in the time yourself you may be able to do better by going directly to the specialty bookseller.
Another option is to use one of the used book search facilities now on the Web which consolidate the inventories of many used booksellers. The largest seems to be Alibris, which calls itself "the ultimate source for out-of-print and rare books". Search their database to find commercial and military books, magazines, and other printed materials which are no longer available as new. Other services like this include Advanced Book Exchange which claims to be the "World's Largest Source of Out of Print Material".
Motorbooks.com is the enthusiast's premier source of auto books and information online, with over 6,000 book titles in inventory. They have many popular and hard-to-find titles on auto and car manuals, auto history, auto restoration and repair, any all special interests for auto enthusiasts. Their outstanding collection of Military Books includes History, Units, Equipment and more.
