Examining the Korean War is designed to educate readers about the Korean War and to offer resources for learning and research. This page is dedicated to all men and women who served in the Korean War to whom we owe our deepest respect and gratitude.
Korean War 50th Anniversary. This is an official Department of Defense web site set up to coordinate information and activities in the years of the anniversary commemoration. Includes events, history, images, teaching materials and more. (Thanks to Jim Rice for this suggestion.)
Korean War Project. A large site devoted to all aspects of the Korean War, including history, resources and links, veterans organizations, and MIAs still unaccounted for.
The Korean War: 1950 - 1953 provides many resources for veterans, relatives, historians, and others interested in the war and its continuing legacy.

The Chosin Few. In November and December of 1950, the 1st Marine Division, USMC and US Army units participated in action in the vicinity of the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. Facing overwhelming numbers of Chinese Army troops in below zero temperatures and mountain terrain, this was one of the most difficult campaigns of any war. The survivors of that combat can be found among The Chosin Few.
Treatment of Black Soldiers in the Korean War. Despite the initial success of the 24th Inf., the performance of Afro-American fighting units during the Korean War were clouded by controversy. This paper traces what happened and why.
The Korean War web site has extensive information on the history of the war and the infantry weapons used. Includes a good bibliography.
