Military Organizations Worldwide
This section of Olive-Drab.com brings together information and links about many of the huge number of organizations that comprise the military of the U.S. and other countries around the world.
In addition, we have information about organizations that support military people in their private lives, provide for their families, and have services for veterans. These extensive listings are arranged in these categories:
- U.S. military service branches and components
- Military of the world's nations
- Unofficial military and support organizations
- Military Family Support Organizations
- Veterans Affairs and Organizations
- Military Personnel Records
- Products/Services for Vets
Links and phone numbers change frequently and Olive-Drab may be the last to know. If you find a link to be broken or otherwise not what you expected, or if you want to add someone to these pages, please contact Olive-Drab.
Military Oriented Search Tools
Rings. Many sites have organized themselves into Rings. If you are not familiar with the idea, a Ring is a group of sites which have linked together so you can go from one to the other in a chain. Each site has a banner on it (somewhere, usually on the home page) which leads to the next site, previous site, or a random site. A list of some of the military oriented rings are found on our Ring Page. Many other Rings, on many other subjects, can be found by searching this Ring Directory. Use "military" as a search word, or anything else you are interested in.
Directories and Search: Use this link to Yahoo to discover many more military sites within the US Government and other countries. Or use the Google US Government Search or other search engine to explore the hundreds of sites coming on the web in constantly increasing numbers.
Another useful resource is the U.S. Government website called FirstGov. They can link you to every variety of program run by the U.S. Federal government that relate to the military or veterans.
