Usenet for Multimedia
In addition to web pages, there is also a very active community of on-line forums on the Internet. They have evolved from the USENET newsgroups and are now easily managed through Google Groups (formerly USENET). Examples of some forums on military topics are:

You can use the search capability of Google Groups to discover other forums and also to search the messages in any one forum to find things you are interested in. This Google web page tells more about how it all works.
Usenet services. Google is there for text message forums, but you probably want to see photos and movies. There are a number of ways to access Usenet for multimedia, reviewed on the linked Olive-Drab.com page.

Be sure to visit the Olive-Drab.com page on Web Rings, potentially another fruitful source for finding military web pages grouped together. There are many rings which have been set up on the web which relate to military subject matter incuding military history, veterans, POW/MIA, aircraft, ships and others.
